1. Who we are

This policy applies to Varna Limited, 15 Old Airport Road, Ratmalana 10390, Sri Lanka, and to Varna Packaging Pty Ltd, Level 3, 845 Pacific Highway, Chatswood NSW 2067, Australia (together “Varna”, “we”, “us”). It covers personal information we handle through this website, varnapackaging.com.

We handle personal information in line with Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022 and, for individuals in Australia, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and operate our business:

• Information you give us through the enquiry and quote forms: your name, company, email address, phone number, the product or format you are interested in, and the message you send.
• Technical information: standard server and security logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated when you visit, used to keep the site secure and working.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of data, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

3. How and why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotations and samples you request.
• To manage our business relationship with you and your organisation.
• To keep records, and to meet legal, tax and food-safety compliance obligations.
• To protect the security and integrity of our website.

We rely on your consent when you submit a form, and on our legitimate business interests in responding to B2B enquiries. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to operate, and never for sale:

• Service providers who help us operate the site and respond to you, such as our email delivery provider and our hosting provider. They may process data only on our instructions.

Varna operates in Sri Lanka and Australia, and some of our service providers process data in other countries. This means your information may be transferred to, and stored in, a country other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to a standard consistent with the Personal Data Protection Act and the Australian Privacy Principles.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to maintain our business relationship, and to meet legal and record-keeping requirements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and review our measures regularly.
