Film is extruded in-house, artwork is built and checked by an in-house design and pre-press team before any press starts, and machinability is worked through with you before the brief is closed.

When was Varna founded?
Varna has manufactured flexible packaging in Sri Lanka since 1961. That is more than 65 years making films, laminates and pouches, which makes Varna the country’s pioneering flexible packaging manufacturer.
What does Varna make in-house?
Extrusion, printing, lamination and pouch conversion all happen under one roof. Keeping every step in-house lets Varna hold quality and lead times rather than depend on outside converters.
Where is Varna based?
The manufacturing site is at 15 Old Airport Road, Ratmalana, Sri Lanka, with a presence in Chatswood, New South Wales, for Australian customers.
Is Varna certified?
Yes. Varna holds BRCGS Packaging Materials, Issue 7 Grade A, and FSSC 22000 v6, both held through every repeat audit to date.
